Eurasianeyes are a Sunderland based duo.

The duo consists of long term friends Mel Bell & Paul Russell.

Mel & Paul met each other in 1991 and started messing around with synths a couple years later which they have continued to do so on and off until they formed Eurasianeyes in mid 2012.

The original music they produce is synth orientated with their main influences being Ultravox, Gary Numan and Depeche Mode.

Mel Bell

Mel started to get into music listening to film scores. Especially the music composed by Ennio Morricone and John Carpenter. Later on he started listening to Kraftwerk, Gary Numan, Depeche Mode and his favourite band Ultravox.

In 1990 Mel purchased his first keyboard, the classic Korg M1. He used this keyboard to compose his own instrumental music.

Paul Russell

Paul started listening to music in 1979 when he bought his first single "Message In A Bottle" by the Police. At the same time his friend bought "Cars" by Gary Numan. This was the start of his keen interest in synth based music. He has a wide range of musical taste from classical to heavy rock but the synth based music has always been a favourite. His main influences were Duran Duran, Howard Jones, Gary Numan and Ultravox.

Paul started playing the keyboards in the early 80's and over the last 27 years has performed in quite a few bands.
